Private Pilot License (Airplane) - PPL (A)
The PPL (A) license allows its holder to act as Pilot in Command and carry passengers in aeroplanes not involved in commercial operations. This means that PPL (A) holders cannot be paid to fly.

Hours minimum flight training,
Including 10 hours solo and 25 hours dual instruction

Theoretical Examinations along with FRTOL (Radiotelephony) practical exam
Skills Test
On the completion of course you will complete a skills test to prove your competency as a pilot

The average time to complete the PPL (A) course is 58 hours so please take this into consideration.

There are no entry requirements for the PPL (A) course.
The student will be required to hold a class 2 medical before they are able to go on their first solo. It is generally recommended the student should attain a class 1 medical if they wish to pursue a career flying commercially which will automatically lapse into a class 2 medical once it expires.
